Today, Adelaide had it's hottest August day, ever, in recorded history.
It reached 30.4 degrees C, and this young chap just snoozed his way through it all.
Looks like no snow this year !

Sorry to be posting so late, Jules. I'll pick up papers in the school yard!

The way he has his legs crossed I doubt he will snooze through it all... LOL

He was in this position for ages, Rob. His legs were definitely snoozin'.

Actually I have just spotted all the pigeons.
He has crossed his legs for protection!

Those Adelaide pigeons can get very mean when they all gang up.

Slept thru young man - poor excuse - but you have been forgiven!!

I think it may be too hot to pick up papers maybe you should just buy me a beer instead!!!

PS I do worry you know - you are usually so regular.

Alice,
Pourriez-vous organiser quelques températures chaudes pour août 2008 ? Ce serait merveilleux, quand nous arrivons là.

Jules,
You have a deal !!!

Steve,
It was a flash in the pan, but nevertheless, we are in serious drought, here down-under.

Rob,
It's now raining. here in Aldgate.
Es ist sehr gut, den Regen zu haben.

It didn't seem to bother him at all to lay in the grass with those good clothes on. I'd be worry about grass stains. LOL

Wow, in that kind of heat, I would want to stay in side with a cool fan and a glass of iced tea, not lay out in the middle of it all. What a trooper.

Barb, I thought about that aspect too ! his back would have been very damp.

Robyn, Adelaideians do not consider that to be very hot.
36 is nice and 42 can easily be reached in Summer.
We don't have humidity in the summer. It's a very dry heat. A bloke needs to wear moisturizer to stay "younger-looking ! "
