Le Radiotélescope à l'Observatoire de Parkes


Il y a quarante ans, l'Observatoire de Parkes a apporté au monde les premières images de Neil Armstrong marchant sur la lune.
Ce radiotélescope professionnel de 64 mètres de diamètre était la réalization de la vision de Dr E G Bowen, le chef du Laboratoire Radiophysics du CSIRO, (Organisation fédérale pour la recherche scientifique et industrielle.)
Il a été conçu par Freeman Fox and Partners a été construit par Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg AG.
Voici mon bon ami, M. Schaussengraben au village de Parkes, 900 kilomètres à l'est d'Adelaïde pour le quarantième anniversaire du premier alunissage par Apollo 11.

The Parkes Radio Telescope
Forty years ago the Parkes Radio Telescope brought the world the first images of Neil Armstrong stepping onto the moon.
This 64 metre diameter telescope was the realisation of the vision of CSIRO's Dr E G Bowen, chief of the CSIRO's Radiophysics Laboratory.
It was designed by Freeman Fox & Partners and built by Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg AG.
Here is my good friend, Herr Schaussengraben at Parkes, 900 kilometres east of Adelaide on the 40th anniversary of the first manned lunar landing by Apollo 11.
